Modern Greek and Continuous Education 

Institutions and Programs available for the teaching of Modern Greek to adults 

Hellenic Culture Centre

In brief: The Hellenic Culture Centre has been offering programs for learning Greek to adult foreigners since 1995. The programs operate in Athens.

Target group: The programs are addressed to: a) adults of any nationality who wish to learn Greek or improve their Greek language skills and become better acquainted with Greece and Greek culture; b) interpreters and translators; c) university students and teachers of Ancient and Modern Greek; d) foreigners who reside in Greece; and e) Greeks of the Diaspora.

Courses of Study

  • (A) intensive two-week seminars (2 hour-classes per day)
  • (B) one-month programs
  • (C) programs lasting more than one month
  • (D) three-month intensive programs for professionals
