School of Modern Greek Language
In brief: The School of Modern Greek Language operates within the International Educational Centre of the Department of Primary Education (KEDEK). Since 1992, the School has organized programs for the teaching of Modern Greek for high school students, university students, educators and others, including both Greeks of the Diaspora and foreigners from all over the world.
Target group: The programs are addressed to foreigners and repatriates who: a) live permanently in Greece, b) plan to study at a Greek university (AEI) or Technical Education Institute (TEI), c) wish to learn more about Greece and Greek culture through the Greek language. A high school diploma is necessary to enroll in the program.
KEDEK organizes courses in three levels:
- Beginners1 (A1) & Beginners2 (A2)
- Intermediate1 (B1) & Intermediate2 (B2)
- Advanced
Programs of Study
- Year-Long Course: 10 October – 31 May (beginning, intermediate and advanced levels)
- Winter Term: 10 October – 15 February (beginning, intermediate and advanced levels)
- Spring Term: 15 February – 15 June
