The CGL Greek language attainment certificate and certificates in other languages

Correspondence between the levels of the CGL Greek language attainmrnt certificate and a) the attainment levels of other certificates in foreign languages (Cambridge, DELF/DALF, state certificate of attainment/ proficiency in foreign languages) b) KPG (the state certificate for foreign language attainment).

The object of this program was a study and comparison of the examinations for attainment/ proficiency in foreign languages (Cambridge, DELF/DALF, state certificate of attainment/ proficiency in foreign languages), indented to identify similarities and differences as regards the teaching goals and contents of their programs with the certification of attainment in Modern Greek offered by the Centre. Following a brief description of the analytical examination program for the “certification of Attainment in Modern Greek” with certificates offered by tother bodies involved in this comparison and correspondence, we provide by way of comparison the characteristics of each certificate (language functions, communicative situations, linguistic structures- morphology, syntax-exercise types). Finally, we note the differences among the various certificates as regards structure, orientation and the difficulty of each level wu=tih the corresponding details for the Certification of Attainment in Modern Greek offered by the Centre.
